As an actress, a fiancée, and a mother, Amy Adams is confident there exists the perfect balanced blend of all of her roles — and she is determined to find it.

“I have to trust that I can prioritize my family and myself while still finding the energy and focus for my work,” The Muppets star, 37, says in InStyle‘s December issue. “And I believe I can. I know I can.”

Part of her secret is that Adams choosesnot to stress over the small things in life.Despite a few lingering pregnancy pounds, the first-time mom — she and Darren Le Gallo are parents to 18-month-old Aviana Olea —is in no rush to tone up.

“I read about these actresses who get on a stationary bike two weeks after giving birth and I’m like, ‘What? Where did you push your baby out of?’” she says. “Since having Aviana, I have a muffin top, and that’s okay right now.”

For Adams, motherhood has meant forgoing the makeup, putting off the pampering, and embracing the dried cereal all over her car. Fortunately, she adds, it has all paid off in the long run.

“I’m definitely not one of those women who make it look easy. I’m always running late — and look, there’s guacamole on my purse!” she reveals.

“But I’m more patient than I ever thought I would be, and I’m not so hard on myself anymore.”

And while she and Le Gallo have yet to tie the knot, the couple — who divide household duties between themselves; Adams does laundry while he washes bottles — admit the nuptials are likely to be sooner rather than later.

“I’ll say to Darren, ‘What do you think of May?’ and he’ll say, ‘May. Ha, ha. You just let me know.’ I just can’t decide!” she laughs, despite her opinion that marriage is not “the only way to sustain a relationship.”

“I am putting more pressure on myself now that we have Avi. I’ll figure it out soon.”

For now, Adams and Le Gallo are enjoying time with their baby girl — and savoring the weekly date nights.

“[They include] a lot of food and maybe a glass of wine,” she reveals. “We’re always like, ‘It’s 11:30! Woo-hoo! We’re crazy!’” [via People]

The studio was waiting for Eastwood's deal to close before looking for the female lead, but sources say that Sandra Bullock and Adams were being eyed from the beginning.

Bullock's schedule is full, so the studio focused on Adams, but her schedule also looks busy.

Adams can be seen next in Disney's "The Muppets," which bows Nov. 23, and she is currently filming WB's "Man of Steel." [viaew/variety]

'We're already trying for a baby,' reveals Katie Price as she launches new reality TV series

Katie Price is already trying for a baby with new husband Alex Reid, the former model revealed today.

Price, who already has three children, made the announcement on GMTV just hours before she launched the new series of her reality show, What Katie Did Next.

In her first television appearance since she and Reid tied the knot, Price, 31, said the couple were 'so happy' and questioned why people 'picked on' them.

She said: 'Me and Alex want kids and we're trying, so let's hope.'

She later added: 'I can't wait to get pregnant.'

Price split from her first husband, Peter Andre - the father of her two younger children - in May last year. She also has a son with former footballer Dwight Yorke.

Today Price rubbished rumours she and Reid had already split, insisting they were 'happier than ever'.

Referring to the reports, she said: 'Absolute shocking, in fact we're actually going to take legal action. Alex is actually in India and he's aware of what they've been writing.

Asked if she would like to be known by her married name, she replied: 'Absolutely Mrs Reid, yep.'

PADMA LAKSHMI: "I exercised a little bit extra, but I actually think I look better when I have a little bit of weight on—my breasts are fuller, and I'm curvier than when I'm at my thinnest."

PL: "Yes; I like the way I look. I think I look better now than I did in my 20s, because I'm more confident about my body—and I don't want to look like anyone but myself."

SHARON LEAL: "At first, I was flattered to be asked, and then I thought, Wow, can I do it? I tried not to have my late-night French-fry fix, and I tried to mentally prepare and keep the fear at bay."

SL: "The ache in my hip from holding the pose."

ALLURE: What happened when you dropped the robe?
SL: "I just breathed and said to myself, 'I'm comfortable, I'm beautiful; I'm comfortable, I'm beautiful,' until I didn't have to say that anymore.... It's liberating, but posing once may be enough."

CH: "I like being naked, and I like Allure, so I figured, Why not?"

CH: "I think it was easy—you're naked a couple times a day, so I think it would be easy for most women."

CH: "My boobs are good. They're real and perky. Even if you can't see them, the important thing is that I know about them, and the guys I've slept with know about them."

ALLURE: Are you comfortable with nudity?
ELIZA DUSHKU: "I grew up with three brothers, and I was never shy about covering up. It got to the point where my mom was like, 'OK, honey, it's time to put some clothes on now.'"

An Aussie expert on an education website says the first part means "forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control" and is from Gita, a holy Hindu Sanskrit scripture, but says it is "incorrectly written".

Mandy Moore is wearing motorcycle boots. The detail certainly qualifies as strange. As she settles into a booth at a dimly lit Hollywood diner, the kind of greasy spoon where musicians nurse hangovers, it's immediately apparent that Moore is not the preppy good girl you were expecting—nor the wholesome Neutrogena spokesperson, nor the milquetoast star of bland movie fare, nor the erstwhile nineties pop-tart who's remained a professional cutie ever since. Her incongruous footwear is accompanied by a flowered vintage frock, a baggy cardigan, and black tights, and her short, layered hair is just-woke-up mussed. She orders a basket of fries and a chocolate shake, then says, "It's okay to have a milk shake. . . . It is! Whatever! Who fucking cares?"—she'll repeat that last phrase often. In Hollywood, where everyone is cleaning up his or her image, Mandy Moore seems to be set on giving hers a few rougher edges.

To be sure, vestigial hints of her Girl Scout persona remain. Before eating her fries, Moore, who lives nearby in Los Feliz, daubs her hands with lavender-infused sanitizer. "I'm a germ-phobe when I meet a lot of people or shake a lot of hands. I always have hand sanitizer and alcohol swabs," she says, "so I can sort of go back and forth between the two." She explains that she added alcohol swabs to her handbag when her "best girlfriend," a publicist for Coach ("you know, the handbag company"), informed her that "you can build up an immunity to the antibacterial stuff—and I was like, Oh, perfect." In the process of disinfecting, Moore removes her conspicuous engagement ring, an enormous tear-shaped diamond—a gift, the world now knows, from Ryan Adams, whose indie cred can be measured in numerous reports of his substance abuse and onstage tantrums. It's hard not to wonder, of course, what role Adams might have played in Moore's alt-chick reinvention.

After all, her aesthetic transformation is coinciding with a musical one. Moore, who's best known for the appropriately named 1999 single "Candy," has spent the better part of the past year cowriting and recording with singer-songwriter-producer Mike Viola, a musician's musician with a cult following. The result is Amanda Leigh, a collection of acoustic rock that variously channels Todd Rundgren, Joni Mitchell, and Paul McCartney. "The music is all a reflection of me now, not somebody else's choices," Moore says, taking an oblique jab at Epic, which released her first four albums. "If people don't like the music, then they don't like me—and that's quite all right." Now 25, she's made a point of trashing her bubblegum-pop past, calling her early output "trite," "blah," and "crappy." As she says, "I was just told to show up and what to sing. . . . That was late-nineties pop music for you." She's reverential about her fellow pop divas, however, and saves the deprecation for herself. "I found myself in the company of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, who had really quality music, much more so than mine was," she says. "I'm sure there are people scratching their heads, going 'Wow, how is she still around?'"

Though Moore started recording at 14 and grew up in the public eye, she never went in for car-bashing, crotch-baring, drinking-and-drugging antics. When she's been tabloid fodder it's always been for a high-profile romance: with Wilmer Valderrama (who famously dished to Howard Stern about their sex life), tennis star Andy Roddick, Zach Braff. Moore spoofed her man-eater side on Entourage, playing the sweet-faced breaker of Vince's usually tepid heart. She laughs at the mention of the role; she doesn't quite understand all the fuss about it. The thing is, it got to the essence of Moore's appeal: She may be sweet, but she's no pushover.

As of late, Moore has willfully crafted her career. Even the freewheeling Amanda Leigh (her proper name) is the product of much planning—a conscious attempt to replicate the college-band experience. The album was recorded in a mere 23 days, in the basement studio of a drafty two-bedroom house in Medford, Massachusetts. "It was like summer camp," Moore says of the marathon sessions, in which she, Viola, and sound engineer Ducky Carlisle (who also played drums) were "eating, sleeping, breathing this record, all in one house together." She refused to play the diva. "We'd wake up at like noon and record to three or four in the morning," Viola says. "Mandy was in it the whole time."

Now Moore has entered into a musical collaboration of a different stripe. A week after we meet, she marries Adams in a quiet ceremony in Savannah. It seems likely that Adams will improve Moore's standing with the Pabst Blue Ribbon crowd, and perhaps her innate sweetness—badass boots notwithstanding—will rub off on him. Moore hints at what their yin-yang pairing might bring about. For starters, she's learning to play—really play—guitar and piano from Adams, whom she coyly calls her "in-home teacher." The more she talks about him the more effusive she gets. Soon she sounds as if she's never dropped an F-bomb in her life: "When it comes to the possibility and potential to collaborate, or to be able to run decisions or ideas by someone . . . it's nice to have that. I feel very lucky, you know?"

Zoom in on Heidi seductively taking a bath. CD player perched just above the water. In comes Spencer who decides to join his true love. As he enters the tub he accidentally knocks in the stereo frying them both instantly. No special effects, 100% reality. Pretty much only one take.

BOOM! Instant classic. If I had children, I'd gather them all on my lap and watch this video every morning on Christmas, that's how classic it would be. So, should I start the water?

'Mid-afternoon I'll have a protein shake or fruit, and dinner will be meat or fish with loads of vegetables.'

But she does have one day off a week, and will indulge in a roast dinner, take-away or crisps on a Sunday.

She concludes: 'I had a new man and a new life, and I wanted to start it in the best way.'

She said: 'I know more about hip-hop music than I ever did before. He's closer in age to me than anyone I've ever been with.

'So I can’t say that I went, "Yippee." But four judges was a judge too far on the show. And I do like being the only girl.'
